Farr Shepherd moved to Colorado after being recruited for a technical job after graduating from a Midwest University. Twenty years later Farr is continuing to pioneer technology services to improve the lives of the communities where he has spent so much time. After starting Decypher Technologies (recognized as 2020’s Best IT firm in Colorado) Farr was fed up with the other Internet Service Providers providing sub-par customer service and the poor quality of internet being delivered to locations off the beaten path. “You take for granted how much high-speed internet is a part of your life until you don’t have it.” Farr teamed up with long time business partner Ande Grillo, putting their know-how to work and started Pathfinder. “It has been very fulfilling to hear from our customers that we cared enough to bring service to locations that had been overlooked for years. Customers were telling us that for the first time in years, their entire family can spend more time in Colorado because they finally had true high speed internet and could now enjoy the same services that were only available in a developed neighborhood.”
Ande has spent his entire life in the Pathfinder service area. As a Colorado native Ande is no stranger to the challenges of living in Colorado. “ We feel that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice living in a beautiful area like ours with small town amenities for “big city” connectivity.” As a Specialist in Wireless and Fiber Optic installation with Decypher, Ande was a natural fit for Pathfinder. He leads the charge in building out new towers, new fiber plants, and pioneering ways to bring service to those suffering with inferior quality internet. “Its encouraging when we receive calls from people in the community who are checking in regularly to find out when Pathfinder service will be available in their neighborhood. We are working hard every day to find out how blaze a new path and shed some light on those who feel like they’re living on the dark side of the moon.”
Anthony is a member of Pathfinder’s Customer Service and Sales Team and you may hear his voice when you call us. Originally from Mexico, he moved to the Aspen area in 1987 and learned how to ski before he learned how to speak English! Anthony loves helping people and is passionate about providing superior Customer Service for our customers. His background lends itself well to the role having been in the personal training and a property management industries in the past.
Dave is Pathfinder’s Sales and Business Development Manager. He is an expert at discovering customer pain points and working with them to find the best solution for their needs.
Dave’s previous experience as a Technology Advisor with Pathfinder’s sister company, Decypher Technologies and Sopris Surfers ISP lends to his success today. He has extensive technical expertise combined with an intimate knowledge of rural areas that are un- or underserved with fast, reliable internet.
Michael is Pathfinder’s Chief Engineer and holds multiple certifications from the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, Cisco Systems, and COMP TIA. He supports Pathfinder with 20+ years in telecommunications technology design and best practices. This experience includes Radio Frequency processing, Optical Transport, Network Configuration and Security. Michael also has extensive experience designing highly resilient networks utilizing best in class industry products and was a former Senior Director of 2nd Largest Service Provider in the country. Here, he was responsible for Core Network Operations for the entire United States encompassing 36 million subscribers.
Michael accepted the position with Pathfinder because he views our company as dynamic in its’ customer focus and is willing to investigate any means by which it can improve their service offerings and stability. The team is dedicated to supporting the services they deploy and regardless of title, everyone from front line support to the company owner will make an onsite service call to ensure that service expectation is upheld.
Day in and day out Joshuah is working out in the field to bring service to new subscribers. Working safely through the COVID-19 pandemic, Joshuah has been undeterred in his drive to make customers happy. “My goal is to go the extra mile every time and leave the subscriber online and happy.” He is passionate about his work in the field and feels that internet is a crucial part of human interaction and connection, making the world seem smaller and others closer. Joshuah appreciates being hands-on in providing a service that is crucial to people’s daily lives.
Jacob may be a familiar name to subscribers calling in for assistance as he works on the phone and email support in the front lines. Jacobs enjoys working with the Pathfinder team to bring high speed internet to the hard to reach places throughout the Colorado Rockies by using the latest wireless and fiber technology. Says Jacob, “I am proud to be a part of a local business that provides not only a reliable, high speed internet connection, but also amazing service.”
Phoebe has been in the area for decades and was a familiar face to many who would regularly visit FedEx for expedited service. Phoebe now applies her passion for excellence to the Pathfinder subscribers working the front lines to enhance our subscribers experience. She loves working at Pathfinder because the team is hard-working and passionate about what they do all with a smile on their face.
Spencer is a Pathfinder Technician and Colorado native. With his extensive background in the Construction Industry, he’s a natural at navigating at tall heights, installing point-to-multi-point radios on homes and businesses. Marcus is enthusiastic about his contribution to the Pathfinder team and helping to provide our customers with superior internet services.
Tabitha is a Colorado native and has been working in technology for over 20 years. Currently Tabitha is a champion for process within Pathfinder, pioneering ways to enhance the customer service experience. She loves working for Pathfinder because she appreciates how Pathfinder is always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and is truly motivated by bringing service to those who need and appreciate it.
