Farr

Farr Shepherd moved to Colorado after being recruited for a technical job after graduating from a Midwest University. Twenty years later Farr is continuing to pioneer technology services to improve the lives of the communities where he has spent so much time. After starting Decypher Technologies (recognized as Best IT firm in Colorado in 2020 & 2021) Farr was fed up with the other Internet Service Providers providing sub-par customer service and the poor quality of internet being delivered to locations off the beaten path. “You take for granted how much high-speed internet is a part of your life until you don’t have it.” Farr teamed up with long time business partner Ande Grillo, putting their know-how to work and started Pathfinder. “It has been very fulfilling to hear from our customers that we cared enough to bring service to locations that had been overlooked for years. Customers were telling us that for the first time in years, their entire family can spend more time in Colorado because they finally had true high speed internet and could now enjoy the same services that were only available in a developed neighborhood.”

Ande

Ande has spent his entire life in the Pathfinder service area. As a Colorado native Ande is no stranger to the challenges of living in Colorado. “ We feel that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice living in a beautiful area like ours with small town amenities for “big city” connectivity.” As a Specialist in Wireless and Fiber Optic installation with Decypher, Ande was a natural fit for Pathfinder. He leads the charge in building out new towers, new fiber plants, and pioneering ways to bring service to those suffering with inferior quality internet. “Its encouraging when we receive calls from people in the community who are checking in regularly to find out when Pathfinder service will be available in their neighborhood. We are working hard every day to find out how blaze a new path and shed some light on those who feel like they’re living on the dark side of the moon.”

Anthony

Anthony is a member of Pathfinder’s Customer Service and Sales Team and you may hear his voice when you call us. Originally from Mexico, he moved to the Aspen area in 1987 and learned how to ski before he learned how to speak English! Anthony loves helping people and is passionate about providing superior Customer Service for our customers. His background lends itself well to the role having been in the personal training and a property management industries in the past.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne is Pathfinder Broadband’s Executive Assistant. She comes to the team with a strong background in the Wellness & Beauty Industry and as a luxury Spa Director. Cheyenne has a passion for Colorado’s great outdoors and for helping others to feel their best. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm for her work allows her to provide Pathfinder executives the support they need to maintain business operations successfully. Cheyenne says, “I am proud to be a part of such an amazing group of people that truly care their work and their customers.”

Christian Canas

Kaytie

Kaytie is a Pathfinder Broadband Technician. She was born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley and knows firsthand the specific needs of the Pathfinder customers. Her previous experience as a master mechanic has allowed her technical abilities and troubleshooting skills to transition perfectly into her role. Kaytie is passionate about her job and about the people she serves. She believes that everyone deserves access to high-speed internet, regardless of where they live.

Kim

Kim is a Pathfinder Broadband Coordinator born and raised in Basalt, Colorado. Her previous experience in various management positions has given her the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in her current role. Kim is committed to providing Pathfinder customers with the best possible service and experience. Outside of work you can find her spending time outdoors with her two dogs or cozying up with a good book.

Mark

Mark is a Pathfinder Field Technician. He loves working outside as much as he loves playing in it, engaging in activities such as mountain biking, camping, skiing, and hiking. Having grown up in the Valley, he is well-acquainted with the challenges that Colorado's elements can present.  As a recent graduate of the Northwest Lineman College, he has been able to leverage his acquired technical skills to help expand the Pathfinder service area. He places a high value on quality work and ensuring that every customer is satisfied with their service. Mark is excited to join the Pathfinder team and looks forward to seeing all that we can accomplish together.

Michael

Whelan

Whelan has enjoyed living in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1993, after growing up in Alabama and graduating from the University of Alabama. For the past 19 years he has worked for the City of Aspen as the IT Support Coordinator, managing Aspen Fiber, and helping start up Aspen Community Broadband. Whelan brings his wealth of IT and infrastructure knowledge to the Pathfinder team as the new Director of Mountain Fiber Development. Whelan embodies the “work hard, play hard” lifestyle, spending his free time camping, fishing, trail running, riding the mountains, and surfing the rivers. “All of my hard work has landed me in an opportunity to do what I love to do, build out fiber optics to provide fast, reliable, and affordable broadband to the Western Slope!”.

Phoebe

Phoebe has been in the area for decades and was a familiar face to many who would regularly visit FedEx for expedited service. Phoebe now applies her passion for excellence to the Pathfinder subscribers working the front lines to enhance our subscribers experience. She loves working at Pathfinder because the team is hard-working and passionate about what they do all with a smile on their face.
